'It wasn’t funny-Nicki Minaj slams Kanye West for rapping that rich black men prefer white women

Nicki Minaj has slammed Kanye West for his 2005 Gold Digger lyrics in which he raps that when a black man gets success, he'll get himself a white girl too.Minaj told Marie Claire magazine.

'I’m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race,' 'It wasn’t funny when Kanye said, ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl’ — and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now.' 'It wasn’t funny when he said it; it was the f***ing truth.

Minaj also took aim at Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian over her nude selfies, pointing out the double standards applied to white women and black women.

Cristiano Ronaldo wins Champions League best player award (photos)

Footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2015/2016  best player in the Champions League award as voted by Spanish and Italian sports papers MARCA and Gazzetta Dello Sport after scoring 16 goals ( 51 in all competitions) to help Real Madrid claim an 11th European Cup/Champions League title, which together with his country's triumph at Euro 2016 also makes him the number one favourite to reclaim the Ballon d'Or.

 

'I've won the Champions League and the Euros, it's a beautiful moment in my career and my sporting life,' Ronaldo said at the AC Hotel La Finca in Madrid. 

'It just makes me want to keep working hard for this club. I hope to remain at Real Madrid for years to come,' Ronaldo said. 'This is the club I love. We have a big squad that can cover for Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos' injuries- it'll be difficult but Real have the quality.

Nollywood Star Osita 'Pawpaw' Iheme Talks About When He'll Get Married...See What He is Saying

Popular Nollywood Star, Osita Iheme has opened up about his plans for marriage and when it will happen.

Osita Iheme, aka Pawpaw, is one of the most popular Nollywood actors in the contemporary world.

 

The actor who is half of the popular Nollywood comic pair known as Aki and Pawpaw, has become a household name.

 

Both men have since moved up the creative ladder, from being just comic actors to making their own movies.

 

Unlike his alter ego, Aki (Chinedu Ikedieze), whose wife put to bed a couple of weeks ago, Osita is still a bachelor.

 

Asked why he has not followed Aki’s example, the comic actor looks confused and he is speechless for awhile. Then he says, “Marriage is not something that anybody should rush into. I will get married at the right time. When it’s time for me to get married, you will know. You will be informed.”

 

The Punch reports that the actor dismisses the rumour that he is still waiting for the proverbial Miss Right, saying, “There is no Miss Right anywhere. I don’t believe that I should meet Miss Right before I make up my mind about marriage. Besides, there is no wife for anybody. Once you get somebody attached to you, she will become your wife.”

 

Despite the popularity that he enjoys among millions of movie fans across Nigeria, even beyond the country’s borders, Osita says that he has been publicly embarrassed by the same fans and admirers on some occasions.

 

Recalling a particular incident, which occurred somewhere in neighbouring Benin Republic, he says, “An excited fan removed my cap and gave me a knock on my head. He said he had been seeing me in the movies and only wanted to confirm if I was really the one. Although I felt quite embarrassed by his behaviour, I let the incident pass because I could see that he acted out of excitement.”

 

Film acting, he says, did not come by accident.

 

As a youth, he used to be a member of the drama group in his church. At a point, he had decided to take up acting as a career if given the opportunity.

 

But, the actor says that he would have liked to be a singer if his dreams had failed to materialise.

 

“I would have become a singer. To me, singing is a means of expressing myself,” he says.

 

Osita also takes a look at the impact of the present economic situation on the movie industry and concludes, “It is tough getting by nowadays. This is probably because filmmaking is no longer as lucrative as it used to be. But what else can we do? The recession is affecting everybody and the entire nation.”

Abiola Segun Williams covers October issue of Genevieve Magazine

On our cover this October is Abiola Segun Williams @abiolasegunwilliams who plays Titi K, Shalewa’s mum in Tinsel. She opens up for the first time on her battle with Scleroderma an auto- immune rheumatic disease that affects the skin and some organs of the body. Talking about her experience, she said:

“At the early stage,  I didn’t know what the problem was. I was my own doctor, I read everything on the Internet that seemed to relate with my symptoms. I noticed my teeth had problems, my limbs became heavy to move, my feet, hands, face were swollen. I went very dark and my skin began to harden, itch and became very scaly. I was in pain twenty four seven’.

How did you condition yourself to deal with the many physical changes?

I basically stopped looking in the mirror. I told myself this was only a phase I was passing through. My face had changed completely. My skin looked absolutely scary. I was as skinny  as a rake but my focus was my health rather than how I looked. I was in too much pain now to care about my looks.

Selena Gomez reportedly returns to rehab to 'focus on her 'Mental Health'

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is reportedly in a Tennessee treatment facility near Nashville where she's recovering from mental illness.

Former Disney channel star Selena who went to rehab in 2014, on August 30 this year announced that she was taking a break from music to manage “anxiety, panic attacks and depression.” and canceled her 34 remaining tour dates. And now the US weekly is reporting that she's already in a treatment facility.

“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” a source close to the pop star told Us weekly.

“She can go to a very dark place. It's a private and quiet place but super intense.”

“She was supposed to be recording, but she hasn't told anyone when she’ll be back in the studio,”

Wizkid and Record Label Signee, L.A.X Reportedly Part Ways

Rumours have it that L.A.X has left the Starboy record label following uninspiring years of musical engagement.

Starboy chief, Wizkid has parted ways with his protege, L.A.X after he didn't renew his contract with the label upon expiry.

Back in August 2013, Wizkid had announced on Twitter that he signed L.A.X to his Starboy Records. Fast forward to December 2014, L.A.X, in an exclusive interview said, ‘I have a record label deal with Starboy to release two albums in a duration of two years.‘ 
 

So according to calculations this contract ended in 2015, without the release of the two album as promised.

To confirm this, during his acceptance speech at the 17th Ghana Music Awards early in 2016, where he won the African Artiste of the Year Award, Nigerian pop star, Wizkid made a special announcement unveiling three new acts under his Starboy Entertainment Worldwide, they include, Efya, R2Bees and Mr Eazi with L.A.X failing to get any mention.

L.A.X put spark to the report by not using any Starboy logo or identity in his new video, 'Awon Da' also removing all Starboy Records mentioned on his social media.

Even his manager, Remi Oyedipe, who has managed L.A.X since 2010, signed a new management deal with Gas promotions that has no affiliation to Starboy. There is no official statement from both parties yet as rumours hold ground.

The future might look bleak for L.A.X, but Nigerian stars who have previously been let off by their old labels, always find away to bounce back in the game, we only hope he can do it soon, as the music scene tend to forget faces fast.
